Call for Expression of Interest

Training on business planning, marketing, accounting

We are looking for external consultant (local) to conduct training on disaster preparedness, coping mechanism and disaster risk management to 60 people in Dhaka and Narshingdi district.

Purpose/Objective of the disaster preparedness, coping mechanism and disaster risk management.

To build capacity to the SHGs/BPOs/DPOs, team of community volunteers and family members of disabled people on disaster preparedness, coping mechanism and disaster risk management. The aim of the training is to promote disability inclusive disaster management and create the scope for persons with disabilities in the community to interact with selected government, local government and other community based counterparts involved in the disaster risk reduction and management initiative of the Government of Bangladesh.
This training is planned to be conducted under a project of Sightsavers: ‘Inclusive: Barrier-Free Inclusive Society for Persons with Disabilities’ which is co-financed by the European Union and Sightsavers.
Please see the terms of reference (attached) for the full details of this assignment. Expressions of interest will be reviewed according to the assessment criteria.

Closing date: 28 June, 2014

The successful applicant will be contacted by 6 July 2014 and should be ready to start the training within July 2014.
