Position: Medical Officer/Programme Manager, Health
No of Vacancy:
Job Description/Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to BRAC International Health program.
Liaise and collaborate with Government and other stakeholders
Participate in technical sessions and coordination meetings and represent BRAC
Provide medical expertise and guidance for the staff, and to ensure the highest standards of care within the health program
Supervise the health team to ensure smooth and effective operation of the program
Supervise, coordinate and facilitate the training of health workers
Work with the program team to design and implement a robust reporting system
Work with senior management and field teams to plan future program direction and prepare concepts notes or proposals for future funding
Maintain flexibility to take on added responsibility as and when needed
Educational Requirements:

Medical degree (MBBS); with a Master’s in Public Health
Experience Requirements:

Minimum of four years of experience required with more than one year in managerial capacity.
Experience in health programs relating to primary health care, maternal and child health, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, and communicable diseases experience in development sector.
Must have excellent written and verbal English language skills
Extremely flexible, and has the ability to cope with stressful situations
Creativity and the ability to work with limited resources
Strong negotiation, interpersonal and organization skills
Knowledge of the political, economic and social context of the country
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Fluency in written and spoken English
Willingness and ability to travel within the country and overseas and spend time in the field.
