Position: Monitoring Lead, BRAC International (AD# BI 07/14)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Implement a comprehensive strategy of monitoring programmes that identifies strategic questions, obtains appropriate information, and reports information in a meaningful way
Provide input to various stakeholders (researchers, programs managers, donors, senior management) for impact assessment and other plans, including results framework, indicators, baseline and target values,
Support and strengthen the monitoring setup in countries and create and maintain an efficient data collection system and database of the results and progress of project activities.
Conduct data analysis and prepare reports, develop reporting plan and formats
Design, supervise and/or conduct special studies and inquiries
Promote the use of evaluative information and processes in the development and refinement of organizational strategy
Provide training and consultation on how monitoring findings can inform decision making and strategy
Oversee communication of results to external stakeholders
Coordinate with the Research Department in two way feedback on mentoring and evaluation results
Educational Requirements:
Masters in any discipline (preferably in Statistics/Economics/Sociology). Requirements of educational background can be flexible for highly experienced person.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 5-10 years’ relevant experience.
Additional Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in the design and use of monitoring, evaluation or other quality tools and systems and managing databases and knowledge of SPSS or other data analysis software
Experience in collecting, analyzing and reporting on a range of qualitative and quantitative data using a variety of methodologies and sources
Knowledge of health, education livelihood and rural development / agriculture development, pro-poor extension services, grass root and producers' organizations, Public/Private Partnership, decentralization processes, gender and equity issues is preferred
Excellent written and spoken English language skills and multicultural exposure preferred
