Position: Provincial Engineer

Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Provincial Engineer will be in charge of designing and estimating the budget for community proposed physical infrastructure for the National Solidarity Programme (NSP) team. To ensure the feasibility of the proposed plans, s/he will be providing direct inputs as well as reviewing those with the facilitators. Job Responsibilities:
Design and estimate the budget for the community proposed physical infrastructure incorporated in their proposal for Block grant
Provide direct inputs to ensure the feasibility of the proposed plans and review with the facilitators
Assist the Development Committee to learn how to assess the feasibility of the physical infrastructure for their community
Train the key personnel on the steps of preparation of the physical infrastructure plans and estimation assumptions and use of local expertise
Assist the community to negotiate with the contractor to be engaged by the Committee
Report on the works done for the community and interact with the MoE experts to ensure the process followed by the Committee
Back up support to the Development Committee who could not find or contracted their work.
Prepare environmental safeguard report and send it to central MIS
Educational Requirements:

Diploma in Civil Engineering or any other related field
Experience Requirements:

Minimum five (05) years of experience working in BRAC
Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD
Sound knowledge and understanding on BRAC programmes and approaches
Additional Job Requirements:

Very good skills in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and internet browsing.
Excellent communication skills in English
Age Range: 30-45 years
